He provided us with invaluable recommendations on where to visit and even helped us with our luggage to the station. His wife was also incredibly friendly, offering us affordable public bath tickets. The rooms were impeccably clean, with freshly aired futons for a comfortable night's sleep. Tatsuo even assisted with our laundry, making our stay hassle-free. Thank you for making us feel right at home!
For dads, it would be great to have a small play area for the children.

Loved staying at a guesthouse with Japanese people, it made me feel so exotic. The shared lounge was just my style, and I had a blast renting a bicycle. Free WiFi is always handy, even though I spent most of my time socializing with other guests.
Who needs concierge services and laundry facilities when you can have a hot tub? Just kidding, there was nothing I didn't like.

The location is not ideal, being quite far from the popular areas like Shibuya and Shinjuku. However, there is a train station and bus stops within walking distance, making it convenient to explore other parts of the city. Additionally, the area has plenty of konbini , so grabbing a quick bite is no problem. The room itself is very clean and comfortable, with a lovely ryokan charm. The manager is also friendly and helpful, providing recommendations for good places to eat and things to see.
The area where the hotel is located feels a bit old and run down compared to other parts of the city. Additionally, the hotel lacks some modern amenities that travelers may expect, such as a microwave.

The location of the ryokan was perfect for our city trip. It was situated in a calm area, yet well connected to the main attractions of the city. We could easily walk to Tokyo Sky Tree in about 20 minutes. the owner of the ryokan was incredibly helpful and welcoming. He went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. He shared his knowledge of the area and recommended great places to visit and eat. the public bath he recommended was a highlight of our trip. - Despite being an 80-year-old building, the ryokan was well maintained and spotlessly clean. the traditional beds were comfortable, although it took a bit of getting used to. the price we paid for what we got was hard to beat.
One thing to be careful about at night is the wooden floors in the ryokan. It can be quite noisy when walking, especially if passing by someone's door.

I had a fantastic experience at this ryokan. Tatsuo-san, the owner, was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay. He gave me valuable tips on where to eat, what to see, and how to get around. the rooms were cozy and the futons were prepared with care each night. Despite being an older establishment, it had a traditional atmosphere that I found charming. the showers had strong pressure and were heated, and the common area for brushing teeth was basic but functional. the location was convenient for exploring Tokyo, with buses and a train station nearby. I felt at home and would gladly visit again. Cons: Nothing 🙌.

I recently stayed at a traditional ryokan in a quiet residential neighborhood of Tokyo. My stay lasted for a week, and I had a wonderful experience. The host, Mr. Yamasaki, was incredibly caring and went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. The futons provided were the most comfortable thing I slept on during my entire two-month trip. The accommodation was clean and had a peaceful atmosphere, with wooden floors that added to the traditional Japanese feel. The price was reasonable, and I even had the option to add an extra futon for a third friend at a reasonable cost. The location was a short walk away from the subway, which was convenient for exploration. I highly recommend this ryokan for a unique and enjoyable stay in Tokyo.
I would recommend this hotel.
